The University of Tulsa offered Nowata 's Austin Beck a scholarship Tuesday. The Iromen lineman is familiar with the Golden Hurricane program after attending its Junior Day event in February. The 6-foot-8, 300-pounder, sees positives and negatives with what TU has to offer.

“I love the coaches and everything,” Beck said via text message. “But I really don't like that its so close. I don't know why, its just weird to tell you the truth.”

Beck also has offers from Arkansas, Baylor and Illinois, and his visit list is starting to take shape.

“I'll go to Illinois, Arkansas and then probably [Tulsa],” Beck said. "I like Arkansas a lot."

Beck said he will most likely make a decision before his senior season starts. He his also being recruited by Arizona, however, the Wildcats have not extended an offer.
